Hot soups help build agni- our digestive ::fire::, which is essential to whole body health.

Medicine for dinner:):):)

Confessions of a soup addict: SOUPS and smoothies are some of the best ways to nourish the body ::fast:: because our bodies don't have to do as much work to break down food to absorb nutrients♡


And if I don't have my soups and smoothies my body has some serious cravings;D

And the best part I think is that they're easy af to make:


You will need:*

veggie broth

2 cans full-fat coconut milk

leeks

carrots

red pepper

*all organic/pesticide-free if possible


Pour veggie broth and coconut milk into your soup pan on medium.

Chop veggies and add to broth-- Cooking them in the broth will ensure that no nutrients are lost in boiling (and tossed with the water). It also makes the broth crazy rich in flavor:)

Bring to barely:: a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer.

Cook about 15-20 minutes-- then I turn it off or on low to let the flavors come out a little more.

(Soup is the one thing that's usually better the next day, because all the flavors come out and combine even more beautifully:)

Then use cilantro, lime & red chile sauce to garnish:)

All to taste and add/substitute as you wish:)))


Simple flavors combining for that ::umami:: taste is what I go for but you do you:D
